Dean Windass

Dean Windass is an English former professional footballer who played as a striker. He played spells at Bradford City and contributed to his hometown team Hull City's promotion to the Premier League in 2008. Windass was diagnosed with Stage 2 (early) dementia, attributed to heading footballs, in 2024. While having no symptoms, he had been persuaded to take a diagnostic scan as a precaution. Afterwards he was active persuading ten to fifteen other former players to be scanned.
